Jackie Warner Is Paid For Pride - Us Not So Much
It's no secret that some famous gays get paid to ride on a float during the Los Angeles Pride Festival, but we were shocked to learn that Jackie Warner is getting paid $10,000 to ride on a float this Sunday for Pride. And no, it's not dykes on bikes.
We were asked to ride on the K Big 104 float for gay pride, you want to know how much they offered us? 0 dollars! So we declined, we're not getting up that early on Pride for nothing!
So you get that cash Jackie! We'll be waving from the sidelines.

Could you pu-leese let us know who Jackie Warner is dating? I'm still betting that she will boink Dr. Shirley. If not now, eventually. And, I also think that eventually Rebecca will wind up as the bigger star. I know you're friends with her. Please tell her I said that.

The truth of the matter is, she'll be on the NBC float to promote her show. (NBC owns Bravo, the cable channel which airs her show). In all likelihood, she is being paid by NBC, not the parade organizers. This is called "business." And frankly, there is nothing wrong with making money. Now if she were marching with the Angel Food Project and demanding thousands, or if they were paying her thousands, then we'd have every reason to complain. But a lot of the floats and/or marching teams are about marketing and visibility, not about charity. And I think visibility of a successful, physically healthy and attractive lesbian is priceless.
